FRESH WATER
People often wonder if it is necessary to drink water as long as they
are juicing. The answer is yes. True, the water contained in fresh fruits
and vegetables is pure and distilled. However, the body requires a greater
quantity of pure water than is feasible to obtain from even a generous
amount of fresh fruit and vegetable juice.
It comes as no surprise that "authorities" differ when
it comes to how much water is necessary or ideal. One surefire way
of knowing when to drink water is to listen to your body. Thirst is
your body's demand for hydration -- for water.
The human body is seventy percent water.
Water is extensively involved in virtually every process in the body
-- from the lymph to the lungs, from the brain to the blood.
Water supports proper digestion, and a water deficiency starts a
chain of potential problems.
Water holds nutrients in solution and facilitates transporting them
through every cell of the body.
The nutrients (vitamins, minerals, fats, amino acids, etc.) in food
are carried throughout the body by water.
Water regulates body temperature and transports wastes and toxins
out of the body.
What kind of water is best to drink?
Drink the purest possible water. There are many excellent systems
that remove many chemicals from standard tap water. The purest water
to drink is distilled water.
Below are some useful products to bring purified or distilled water
to your kitchen.
Distilled water is water from which all inorganic properties have
been removed. One fine source of this is in melons, like cantaloupe
or watermelon. When the water goes through the root system, it is
distilled, making the water inside the fruit pure, distilled water.
This fundamentally demonstrates only one of the great benefits of
juicing.
To meet our needs for water beyond that of juicing, be sure to
drink plenty of fresh water.
Quote:
A man who drinks only water has a secret to hide from his fellow
men.
Charles Baudelaire (1821-1867), a bit of a goofy French poet
